Corporate & Training
Corporate Marketing & Training Video
This is more than a stroll down memory lane — corporate video and workplace training is where I got my start. Though the projects below clearly have a few years on them, each one represents skills that are still important today: pre-production collaboration with Subject Matter Experts and C-Suite executives to identify goals, training objectives, and instructional strategies.
Bullard Thermal Imagers
Bullard’s marketing officer was so impressed with my work on a training video collaboration, she sought me back (even after I had started grad school) to produce and author an entire promotional kit, which included this fundraising video.
Skip to the end to hear her kind feedback in her own words.
Beauty Systems Group, a division of Sally Beauty Company
When a nationwide retailer of beauty supplies sought to improve the inconsistent monthly training provided by regional managers to store employees, I launched and produced their brand new direct-to-store DVD staff training program. I developed learning objectives in concert with name-brand manufacturers and company executives, with many appearing on camera for the first time.
Each semi-monthly DVD contained multiple segments.
The three excerpts compiled here announced a monthly store promotion, encouraged store employees to upsell trade shows, and trained new associates on haircolor products.
Fire & Emergency Training Network
American Heat was a firefighter training program in the form of a monthly TV news-magazine show. Each program I produced was developed in concert with multiple Subject Matter Experts, and included at least two long-form stories of lessons learned on the fireground, plus additional segments of “hard training” and insight from in-studio guests.
I wrote and compiled this promotional highlight video, and used it to land the program’s first-ever producer-generated sponsorship.
